backup power for any devices you plan to use
on the flight:
once you’ve boarded, take a few minutes to settle in with your goods
stow whatever you won’t be using
use either of these tricks to keep the passenger in front of you from reclining their seat
–or cough in a frightening way as the seat starts to go back (practice this ahead of time)
once you’re settled:
Find a way to play beat the clock. You’ll probably lose, but it will make the time go faster.
Or just relax and try to catch up on some sleep.
